The renowned Senegalese artist Aziz N’Diaye has collaborated on several important projects with the Cuomo Foundation most notably the Sene’Gala art exhibition (Monaco, 2008) and more recently the commissioned artistic murals designed for the interiors and exteriors of the Cuomo Cardio-Paediatric Centre (Dakar 2016). He lives and works in the city of Thies, 70 kms outside of Dakar.
With this new work created while in lockdown, the artist pays tribute to the courage and self-sacrifice shown by the CCPC teams during the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
« I would like to express my most devoted feelings of gratitude for your commitment toward the well-being of patients, pushing the limits of the impossible. Thank you infinitely for all the good things you have produced. You are good citizens. I want to thank you so much for all the good things you’ve done. You’re good citizens. »
