During an interview, the 28-year-old pianist praised the Foundation’s sponsorship of “Roma” piano competition and stressed the importance of such actions in the becoming of young musicians. At that time, Roman competition constituted Mr Masleev’s first major international exposure.
In Monaco, the young pianist performed at the Théâtre des variétés in the presence of H.E. Mr. Alexandre Orlov, Russian Ambassador to France and the Principality of Monaco. Fond of Romanticism, he performed the works by Haydn, Schubert and Tchaikovsky.
