An awareness programme featuring a series of lectures and workshops took place at the Sendivakkam High School, South India. Sendivakkam School is the second educational compound built by the Cuomo Foundation in the state of Tamil Nadu. The multidisciplinary educational sessions, given to students and teachers, covered different themes such as civic education, economics, personal development andeco-citizenship.
Completed in 2005 and welcoming approximately 750 girls and boys from 11 to 18 years old, the school was renamed Alfredo Cuomo Higher Secondary School on April 12, 2019. This name change paid tribute to the founder of our philanthropic organization, 10 years after his passing. The recent series of conferences responds to the new guidelines that the school has recently adopted to facilitate the professional integration of the pupils, once they complete the secondary education.
