On December 7, 2015, Mr. Francisco Diaz Lison, CEO of the Cuomo Foundation, will participate in a panel discussion on “Education and Climate Change” which will take place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

This has been organised within the framework of the outreach event focusing on the 5th annual report of the IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This special event will take place as a parallel event of the COP21 UN climate change conference, to be held in Paris between November 30 and December 11, 2015.

The Cuomo Foundation collaborates with IPCC on its  innovative Scholarship Programme. The aim of the IPCC Scholarship Programme is to build capacity in the understanding and management of climate change in developing countries by providing opportunities for young scientists to undertake doctoral studies.

Since 2013, the Cuomo Foundation has supported and funded 9 such students from Bangladesh, Benin, Colombia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Myanmar, South Africa and Vietnam to instigate their projects.
