Cuomo Foundation donates a new 100 % electric refrigerated van to the Seniors & Social Action Dept of the City Council

On Wednesday 24th June, 2020, the Mayor alongside his deputies Camille Syara in charge of Social Affairs and Claude Bollati, welcomed the president of the Cuomo Foundation Maria Elena Cuomo and its managing director Francisco Diaz. The event was held in the early afternoon in the Town halls’ courtyard and witnessed the handing over of the keys of a brand new electric refrigerated van purchased through the Cuomo Foundations’ donation. The Mayor Georges Marsan, in his speech, warmly thanked the Cuomo Foundation for being one of the Municipal Institutions’ faithful donors and “for its precious support”. Thanks to this latest donation a brand new zero emissions electric refrigerated van joins the municipals fleet of vehicles that deliver meals to the Home Help beneficiaries and benefits the Social Action and Senior Citizens services. A twofold objective is thus achieved: to continue to take care of our seniors by assisting them in their daily lives and to promote green energy by continuing to develop the City Council’s electric fleet as part of its environmental policy. Both the social care and the environmental causes are directly in line with the actions undertaken by the Cuomo Foundation since its own creation in 2001.

More
