UNESCO World Heritage: The Cuomo Foundation supports the Royal Court of Tiebele for its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List Reporting by Abatidan Nassara-published 23/6/20 in the Culture section of the online edition of NAHOURINEWS, Burkina Faso

The Cuomo Foundation is the principal sponsor of the DORA competition, an annual event in which nearly 100 females participate.

This is the reason that since 2014 the Cuomo Foundation has been and continues to be the principal partner of the DORA competition .The event attracts over a hundred young girls to participate from the local Tiebele high schools and colleges. The event aims not only to instil the elder Kassena womens expertise in the specialist mural painting to the young students but also contributes to the ongoing protection and preservation of the Kassena habitat. The Cuomo Foundations ‘continued support of this important cultural event reflects its commitment to the Royal Court of Tiebele in its quest to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
