social welfare schemes initiated by the Principality of Monaco Town Hall

In 2010, the Cuomo Foundation funded the purchase of a refrigerated vehicle for the social services department of the City hall of Monaco. This vehicle provides a daily all year round home meal delivery service for the elderly and handicapped residents of Monaco. This service was originally established in 1987 and supports the everyday life of over 180 people in need.

In 2011, the Foundation supported the renovation and opening of two micro-day-nurseries (micro-cribs) run by the City hall of the Principality. The child day-care center’s called “A Riturnela” and “A Ribambela” can accommodate 20 infants.

In 2013, the Foundation co-operated further with Mairie de Monaco by financing the experimental visual and sensory therapy rooms called Espace Snoezelen. Situated within the Town Hall buildings, the program is designed to relieve stress and encourage communication in the elderly and/or disabled.
