As part of its partnership with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (FPA2), the Cuomo Foundation participated in a meeting held in Monaco on 28 June 2017. During this work session with the Scientific and Technical Committee of the FPA2, the two foundations unveiled their selection of the research projects that they plan to support during the two years to come. They are proposed by the young researchers from developing countries.

The number of researchers that the Foundation intends to support for this new batch is six : 4 women and 2 men from China, India, Myanmar, Senegal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. Thus, they join a group of 8 researchers already supported by the Foundation since 2013 who represent South Africa, Benin, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Colombia, India and Vietnam.
